When you need the ultimate in durable, tough, industrial-strength RFID tags, choose the WOW tag. Not just metal mount, the WF-SM-WOW can be welded directly onto any metal part or device. All it takes is a small tack weld with a TIG or MIG. The tag's rugged MSOP chip is embedded in a stainless steel case yet can be read from every direction thanks to its novel antenna design. For color coding, this steel tag can be encased in high-temperature resistant plastic that comes in red, yellow, blue or orange. With excellent super-high temperature readability, this armored tag will perform exceptionally well even in the harshest environments where pressure, abrasion and water are factors.

Test* Temperatures and Duration Results
Maximum Temperature Long-term at 10 hr: 320°F (160°C) No effect on tag. Tag remained the same in appearance and RFID performance/function. There was no sign of peeling, tearing or destruction. The tag read normal after the tests. *Test is not limiting.
Standard at 5 min: 360°F (182°C)
Short-term at 90 sec: 380°F (193°C)
Minimum Temperature -40°F (-40°C)
Temperature Cycling The tag was cycled to 380°F at equilibrium for five times. Between each cycle, it was air cooled to room temperature and read with an RFID reader.
