Only available at William Frick, these RFID-enabled pole markers offer quick and easy identification of utility poles, posts, cabinets, pedestals, enclosures, switch gear, transformers, pipelines and underground assets. In fact, these RFID pole markers can be read from a moving vehicle, saving your crew time. The data can be displayed in human-readable format, barcode and UHF Gen 2 RFID, making these markers perfect for the electric utility that is transitioning between the three display formats. The triple read also provides data security and redundancy in case of vandalism or graffiti.

 

Pole tags can be attached using screws to wood or metal. They are available in different sizes and either horizontal or vertical orientation. Made of extremely durable materials, RFID pole markers will survive years of wind, rain and sun exposure.

Results
Maximum Temperature Long-term at 10 hr: 185°F (85°C) No effect on tag. Tag remained the same in appearance and RFID performance/function. There was no sign of peeling, tearing or destruction. The tag read normal after the tests. *Test is not limiting.

Standard at 5 min: 210°F (99°C)

Short-term at 90 sec: 222°F (106°C)
Minimum Temperature -40°F (-4°C)
Temperature Cycling The tag was cycled to 222°F at equilibrium for five times. Between each cycle, it was air cooled to room temperature and read with an RFID reader.

Tested Polarization

Tag performance was experimentally measured in an anechoic chamber and a known set of experimental variables. The antenna used for measurements was linearly polarized and of monostatic configuration. The direction of tested polarization is as follows.
