The RFID Durable Wire Tags from William Frick & Company can be used in a variety of different applications including counting and tracking pallets, shipping containers, airline seat covers, plastic tools, garments and other items. These discreet wire tags can be embedded into rubber, wood or plastic, sewn into the seams and hems of garments, or attached via clips, hooks or wire zip ties to make it easier to keep track of inventory.


Resistant to high temperatures, water and solvents, the RFID Durable Wire Tags survive frequent cycles through commercial washing machines. They can be read on a variety of plastic, glass and wood materials, while the CC71 tag can also be read on metal. Because of their unique, durable and flexible design, they provide a 360° read profile to reduce orientation sensitivity.


Embeddable RFID

More durable than inlay tags, wire-based tags combine strength with flexibility. A variety of encapsulations are available: high temperature Teflon or silicone, durable vulcanized rubber, or integrated cable ties.

Test* Temperatures and Duration Results
Maximum Temperature Long-term at 10 hr: 285°F (120°C) No effect on tag. Tag remained the same in appearance and RFID performance/function. There was no sign of peeling, tearing or destruction. The tag read normal after the tests. *Test is not limiting.
Standard at 5 mins: 323°F (138°C)
Short-term at 90 sec: 342°F (148°C)
Minimum Temperature -40°F (-40°C)
Temperature Cycling The tag was cycled to 356°F at equilibrium for five times. Between each cycle, it was air cooled to room temperature and read with an RFID reader.
