SlimFlex RFID Tag UHF
- Flexible design easily conforms to irregular shapes
- Durable
- Waterproof
- Long distance read range
The HID Global Slimflex™ RFID tag is among the most advanced general UHF tags. The unique thermoplastics elastomer (TPE) housing mounts securely on rounded or irregular surfaces while still maintaining excellent performance characteristics. The durable housing safeguards embedded electronics, even under harsh conditions.
SlimFlex ™ tags allow data to be read and written from distances up to 26.3 ft (8 m) when mounted to any wood or plastic asset, such as containers, helmets, apparel, tools, or even trees. The tag’s flexible housing conforms to surface contours, and can be securely attached with industrial adhesives, or screwed into place via pre-drilled holes.
UHF technology enables anti-collision functionality, fast data-rate communication and password data protection for precise, reliable reading and updating of each tag’s 512-bit user memory. SlimFlex™ tags are compliant with EPC global certified UHF Class 1 Gen 2 readers and modules, and have broadband capability for worldwide operations.
The SlimFlex™ RFID tag is waterproof, provides high resistance to aggressive liquids, and delivers reliable performance and reading stability across fluctuating temperatures. Custom color options are available, and tags and be embossed with a logo or message for branding or enhanced visual identification.

Tested Polarization:
Tag performance was experimentally measured in an anechoic chamber and a known set of experimental variables. The antenna used for measurements was linearly polarized and of monostatic configuration. The direction of tested polarization is as follows.
Optimal Read Range* on Different Material Surfaces:
*Tag performance was measured free of material influence, on a dry wood slab, standard window glass, standard thermoplastic, and standard steel slab. Actual read ranges may differ depending on conditions such as environment, tag placements, hardware, etc.
A variety of attachment methods are available
Mounting: Mount with cable ties, industrial adhesives, rivets or screws. 2 holes each 0.012"( 3mm)
