WF-SM-50RS Small Rubber RFID Tag (Domed)
Specially designed for Oil and Gas and Construction applications, these small rubber-encased RFID tags are UHF Gen 2, compatible with any UHF Gen 2 RFID reader. The WF-SM-50RS functions globally with a frequency range of 860-960 MHz. The WF-SM-50RS comes in two versions—square and domed. The performance between the two RFID tags is very similar; size restrictions of the application dictate which version to use.
The WF-SM-50RS features metal mount and impact-resistant capabilities. For even better “near metal” performance, see the WF-SM-PC101. The WF-SM-50RS family of RFID tags has recently been selected by the Oil and Gas Solutions group for gas FRAC (fracturing) applications. It can also be used to mark pipelines, scaffolding, and other round tubular objects.
Attachment Methods:
The most popular attachment methods are: integrated horizontal tie wraps and integrated cable ties vertically. Due to the rubber outer shell, this tag is not suitable for adhesive attachment.
Impact Resistant and Metal Mount Features
The small footprint (0.5” wide) of the WF-SM-50RS belies its substantive performance. This RFID tag is ATEX compliant, IP-68 and EN62262 certified. It is highly stable to impact, outperforming the competition by 5000 percent in heavy impact testing.
