Down Hole Ceramic RFID Tag

The WF-SM-DH down hole ceramic tag is useful when you need to embed an RFID tag in a small space like a tool handle.  The tag has ideal thermal and chemical properties.  As a metal-mount tag, the WF-SM-DH is unparalleled in both size and ruggedness.  Reliable 100,000 cycle / 50 year retention capability.

The SM-DH performs so well that we use it in our WF-SM-75HT and WF-SM-75HTLE.  It is a passive UHF EPC Class 1 Generation 2, ISO/IEC 18000-6C compliant RFID tag ensuring seamless interoperability.

Extra Small Footprint

The WF-SM-DH is extremely small.  At only 0.75” L x 0.75” W x 0.125” H, this RFID tag can fit seamlessly into many products.

Metal Mount Heat Resistance

The WF-SM-DH performs best when the tag comes in contact with metal, though it will still function properly if attached to non-metal surfaces.  This RFID tag has an extremely large temperature range suitable for applications where high or low heat is an issue.

Tough Ceramic RFID Tag, March 14 2011

William Frick\'s downhole RFID tag meets our need for small, durable tags for marking our tools and equipment. This small footprint RFID tag is resistant to wide temperature fluctuations and is also chemical and solvent resistant, so it performs well under the difficult conditions on all of our job sites.

The parts we mark with RFID tags are exposed to wear from use in sandy conditions. William Frick\'s ceramic RFID tag is perfect for our applications. It performs well under abrasive and wet conditions. Its small size makes it ideal for mounting on small parts and equipment where it does not get in the way of operations.
